Fish Story:

Beth caught this 50″ longnose gar while fishing a city lake in Oklahoma. Beth was fishing off a point using a live bluegill suspended 5ft below a homemade float, when the gar took off running with the bait, it never took the float under, it just speed off. Beth fought the fish for about 5 minutes before it was even seen. It was another 5 minutes until she was able to get it on land. After a few pictures the fish was released back to the lake.
